Lenten Biblical Video Series with Dr. Brant Pitre
Facilitated by St. Thomas More’s Karen Sheehy (Coordinator of Scripture Studies and Spiritual Direction)
Join us this Lent as we watch and delve into 6 inspirational 1 ¼ to 1 ½ hour long videos exploring the biblical roots of Jesus, Mary, Holy Week, and the abundant mercy of God realized through Christ’s Paschal Mystery (Life, Death, and Resurrection). In the spirit of Lent, Karen will provide each participant with a few suggested Scripture passages and reflective questions for their continued consideration during the week which follows each video.
Location: St. Thomas More Community Center – Room 9
When: 9:00-11:00 am and 6:30-8:30 pm on Thursdays (dates listed below). There will also be a weekly spotlight reminder in the bulletin.

Meet Dr. Brant Pitre
- Distinguished research professor of Scripture at the Augustine Institute Graduate School.
- Earned his D. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame, where he specialized in the study of the New Testament and ancient Judaism.
- Enthusiastic and engaging speaker lecturing regularly across the United States on the biblical foundations of our Catholic faith and theology.
- Author of several articles and books, including many of the topics presented during this Lenten Biblical Video Study Series.
- Native and current resident of Louisiana, where he lives with his wife, Elizabeth, and their five children.
