Becoming Catholic Elementary and Teen

Thank you for your interest in our program. We are here to help educate your child in our Catholic faith. If your child is 7 or more years old and not baptized, they will need to follow the Becoming Catholic (Formally RCIA) process. Becoming Catholic is the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. We have classes for children that follow this process. This is a 2-year journey. In the first year, students will attend class with their peers or age group and attend Mass regularly. In the second year, we focus on preparing your child to be BaptizedConfirmed, and receive their First Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil, the Saturday evening before Easter Sunday. Again, regular attendance in class and Mass is required to prepare children to be fully initiated Catholics! Joining this program is a big commitment for your child and your family. There are classes for parents and children. Mass attendance is required, and there are Rites that take place with the entire parish community at Mass and in the Archdiocese with our Archbishop.

We look forward to walking with you and your child on their faith journey. For more information, please contact the Faith Formation Office at 702-361-8840.
