GriefShare (Bereavement Ministry)

Bereavement Support at STM

Healing after the loss of a loved one takes time, and each person’s journey through grief is unique. You don’t have to face this season alone. At STM, our GriefShare program offers a caring, supportive space where you can find comfort, understanding, and connection with others who are grieving. Below is a list of upcoming events/sessions:

  • Potluck on Wednesday, June 3, from 11:00 am–1:00 pm in the Community Center. This is a warm and welcoming gathering centered on food, fellowship, and support. Anyone who has recently experienced a loss is invited and encouraged to attend. It offers a gentle opportunity to connect with others who are walking a similar path and to learn more about this bereavement ministry. If you are grieving a recent loss, RSVP to Julie Gartrell at 301-385-1262 and join us for lunch and information about the program.

  • Loss of a Spouse Seminar offered on Wednesday, July 15, from 9:30–11:30 am and 6:30–8:30 pm (choose one), in the Community Center. Register at find.griefshare.org/find
