Beginning the first weekend in May at all Masses, the annual Baby Bottle Campaign to benefit Women’s Resource Medical Centers of Southern Nevada will kick off. By taking a bottle home and filling it, you are helping to meet the spiritual and physical needs of a family in an unintended pregnancy. Your participation will save a life! Bottles should be brought back no later than May 20th and 21st. First Communion Mass

We prayerfully invite all parishioners and guests to join us in faith and prayer on Saturday, May 13th at a public Rosary Rally in honor of the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. We will begin at 8:45 am by meeting in front of the church on Pecos, and then process to the amphitheater to begin the rosary at 9:00 am. We are one of many Legions and parishes throughout the United States that will be having a Rosary Rally event that day. As the world around us experiences so many challenges, it is our intention to turn to God and our Blessed Mother to protect and save our country from today’s chaos, immorality, and social upheaval. Let us come in true faith, with intentions in our hearts, that our prayers will be answered through the beauty of praying the Rosary together. Light refreshments will be served at the conclusion. We hope to see you there! At St. Thomas More, we don’t have altar servers, instead, we have members of the church community who work in teams to assist at Mass. One member of the altar team usually carries the cross in during the procession and out during the recessional. During Mass, the altar teams prepare the altar. Many of our altar teams are composed of families serving together, but teams are not formed exclusively by families. Other groups are welcome, such as friends who attend the same Mass, members of a ministry/organization here at STM, service teams, or groups of teens specifically for our 5:30 pm Life Teen Mass. On Saturday, May 13th at 9:00 am, we will hold a training for anyone interested in helping (children too)! This training is mandatory even if you were previously an active member of an altar team here. We’re excited to get this ministry back up and running again! A Blue Mass is a Mass celebrated annually throughout the United States in the Catholic Church for those employed in the "public safety field" (I.e., police officers, firefighters, correctional officers, 911 operators, and EMS personnel). The color blue relates to the blue-colored uniforms predominantly used by these services. The service honors those who have died in the line of duty and those currently serving as first responders. The Mass is an opportunity for the community to show gratitude to first responders and their families. This year, the Henderson Fraternal Order of Police, Gene Altobella Lodge 3, in collaboration with St. Thomas More Catholic Community is hosting the first annual Blue Mass in honor of National Police Week! We are inviting all first responders and our community to join in the Blue Mass to honor our local first responders who have died in the line of duty and those who currently serve as first responders. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as Confession or Penance) is one of the two healing Sacraments. Reconciliation takes place on Saturdays from 2:30-4:00 pm. If you want an extended period of time to talk to a priest or you need counseling, we recommend calling the Parish Office at 702-361-3022 to schedule a separate appointment. Our priests are happy to spend that time with you.
