ATTENTION MEN: The mission of the Men’s Club is to unite the men of St Thomas More to promote spiritual and social interest, and to aid in the work of the parish. These three pillars; Faith, Fellowship, and Service are our guiding principles. Here at STM, we have over 6,000 registered people. Our parish has many needs that require Men to step up and help when needed. I would like to invite all men of STM to join the Mens Club. We meet on the first Monday of every month at 6:00 pm in the Community Room. Many members of the Mens Club are also members of the Knights of Columbus. Very soon the St. Thomas More council of the Knights of Columbus will be formed and will also meet once a month. More information on that will come later. Men, if you’ve been looking for new ways to expand your faith, service, and fellowship, I highly encourage you to join both these organizations. No dues are required for the Mens Club, $40 annual dues for the Knights of Columbus (first year free). To join the Mens Club, all you need to do is be a man and come to the monthly meetings, it’s that easy. To join the Knights of Columbus or to transfer/reinstate your council you can do it online at www.kofc.org. Any questions please call or text me. - Tom Melton, President STM Mens Club (702-510-5481)

LEGION OF MARY: We are recruiting! The object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active co-operation in Mary’s and the church’s work. Its priority is the spiritual and social welfare of each individual. The members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families, the sick, both in their homes and hospitals and through collaboration in every apostolic and missionary undertaking sponsored by the parish. The praesidium holds a weekly meeting where prayer is intermingled with reports and discussion. Every legionary is required to carry out a weekly apostolic work in the spirit of faith and in union with Mary. If you’re interested in joining, please contact Linda Dayawon at 702-956-4272.

BEREAVEMENT: It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. Our GriefShare ministry meets weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. A new summer seminar is coming soon! Click here for more information and to register.

BAPTISM PREPARATION: Our Baptism Preparation session, which is required, is offered on the first Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise announced) in the Church at 6:30 pm. This session can be attended at any time (even before the baby is born). Click here for more information.

LITTLE KINGDOM: Our gathering year has been extended through May! Yay! If you have a little one, join us on most Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 am in the Community Center. Click here for more information.

NEVADANS FOR THE COMMON GOOD: Nevadans for the Common Good, or NCG, is a broad-based coalition of institutions in the Las Vegas area. We have more than 40 religious congregations, nonprofits, and other members. This coalition has been built to cross the lines of race, religion, neighborhood, and political affiliation. We are an NCG member. Our core team meets on the third Thursday of the month in the Community Center. Our meetings are open to all. Please come and check us out. Natalie Eustice (702-630-3543) is the STM contact...please call her for more information!

ADORATION: Join us on the first Friday of every month from 9:00 am to 12 noon for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. In the event that a funeral is scheduled in the Church, Adoration will be moved to the Chapel for that day.

HOLY COMMUNION FOR THE SICK: If you are homebound, please call Patti Sabo at 702-269-3110 and an extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion will visit you. In case of hospitalization, inform the hospital staff that you are Catholic and would like to receive Communion.

SUPPORT OUR SEMINARIANS: We have two seminarians from St. Thomas More; Robert Martinez and Sean-Matthew Flores. They are both at Mount Angel Seminary. We ask that you please keep them in your prayers! For more information on all of the current seminarians in our Diocese and ways to contact them, click here.
