St Thomas More National Social Ministry

 PRESENTS

FOOD for the FAITHFUL

COOKBOOK SALES

You’re all invited to share your favorite recipes for us to enjoy.  We are including all of the categories you know and love, including desserts, appetizers and of course, main dishes.  Our edition also includes healthy cooking and a very special emphasis on ethnic dishes.

Please pick up your recipe cards at all of the masses during the weekends of April 11 and April 18.  We’ll place recipe drop boxes in various locations to include the hall and the church foyer for you to return them. Please share a long lost family recipe from afar and include the country of origin if you can.

Our price for these cookbooks will be just $9.95.

Proceeds from cookbook sales will benefit the many Social Ministry projects we do throughout the year.

Please call Letticia at 454-6188 with your questions.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!

DEPLOYED?

Do you know of a St. Thomas More parishioner who is serving in the military and deployed overseas? The National Social Ministry of STM is trying to identify our parishioners who are fighting for our country so that we can be of support to them. How important it is to them to know they are not forgotten. We often mail them letters, cards, care packages, etc. If you can help us find addresses for any of these brave men and women, please call Dorothy and Rich at 435-3025 or email them at stm4thetroops@aol.com. Interested in becoming a part of this effort? Please let Dorothy and Rich know of your interest!

YOU CAN HELP! OLD CELL PHONES NEEDED

As part of an ongoing program by our Social ministry, we continue to collect used cell phones. By donating your used cell phone, the church is able to recycle these units (GO GREEN) and get paid for them. We use these funds to support the many programs that go on here at STM that are sponsored by our Social Ministries (International, National, Community and Parish).

During the month of November, we will place the cell phone collection receptacles at the entrance of the church so you are able to deposit your used cell phones on your way in to Mass. At other times, the cell phones may be dropped off and placed inside the receptacles inside the northeast entrance to the Community Center during office hours and most weekday evenings. God bless you for your generosity!
