The St. Thomas More Music Ministry is a spirit filled ministry which
offers a place for anyone who enjoys singing or playing an instrument. We are most visibly the body of
Christ to the world when we gather on Sunday as the Christian assembly.
Therefore, how we pray and worship is extremely important. St. Thomas
More has an active music ministry to help us in our sung prayer. This
ministry includes cantors, small groups, an adult choir, teen band, Life
Teen band and a children's choir. Everyone is welcome!
If you feel you would like
to give your gift of music to God's community, one of these groups would
suit your needs.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
You must be in 3rd grade to join the
children’s choir. We are currently taking sign ups for
anyone interested and only have spots for 35 children. It
is on a first come, first served basis. The children
rehearse every Thursday from 5:00 to 5:45 and sing
twice a month. This group
requires a firm weekly commitment to rehearsals and mass.

year are already on the list.
TEEN BAND
This group is made up of high school teens. This
group is open to any singers interested in joining.
The instrumental section will be by audition only and we are
seeking teens who play the drums, guitar, bass and violin.
You must read music well and be able to follow instruction.
We are seeking singers and instrumentalists who can make a
firm commitment and who are serious about being a part of
the music ministry. The Teen Band rehearsals are
every Sunday from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. beginning on October
11th.
ADULT CHOIR
You must be of high school age to join the Adult Choir.
There are no requirements needed to be eligible to
participate. The Adults rehearse every Wednesday from
5:15 to 6:15 and their mass schedule varies between the
10:00 and 12:00 masses.
LIFE TEEN BAND
The Life Teen Band rehearses every Sunday before
the Life Teen mass.
You must audition for this group. The Band
is currently full.
The Life Teen Band plays at
every Life Teen Mass (except when the Teen Band plays once a month).
This group is also at Life Teen Retreats and some events.
"When in our music God is glorified, and adoration leaves no
room for pride, it is as though the whole creation cried:
Alleluia! Let every instrument be tuned for praise! Let all
rejoice who have a voice to raise!"
