by downloading the forms online (below) and bringing them in
completed or visit the RE Registration Office from 9:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Confirmation 2 program) of Religious Education classes. The
choices of days and times available are:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday—4 to 5 PM
Thursday—7:30 to 8:30 AM and 4 to 5 PM

something you are called to do, or have any questions,

OLD
EYEGLASSES NEEDED
The International Social Ministry team needs your old eye
glasses. Please consider donating any eye glasses that you
don’t need or are not using before August 8. We will provide
a drop box in the foyer of the church. Ask your friends and
relatives for theirs too! The glasses will be distributed by
the Rotary Club in Candelaria, Quezon (Philippines) to those
less fortunate people.

COUPONS
NEEDED
The Community Social Ministry is having a food coupon
drive for St. Therese Center. As the need for assistance
continues to grow it is more important that we stretch every
dollar to get the most food we can. You can help and it
won’t cost you anything— just donate your coupons (glossy
inserts in Sunday’s newspaper, or any other coupons such as
those you see in the small dispenser boxes on
the shelves at the grocery store). A drop box will be in the
foyer of the church.

BACK TO
SCHOOL DRIVE
It’s Back-to-School time! Notebooks,
backpacks, paper and supplies are in the stores. Next week
OUR annual Back-to-School tags for area Kids-in-Need will be
available for adoption at the display. Thanks to your help,
area Kids-in-Need will start school in new shoes and a set
of new clothes! The tags list the name, age, gender, shoe
size, clothes size and favorite color.
Again this year, to make it more
convenient for you, the St. Thomas More Social Ministry has
available pre-purchased gift cards from specific retailers
in our area.
So you choose:
YOU SHOP!
• Pick-up a kid’s tag
• Buy a Gift Card
• Purchase the outfit: shoes & clothes
• Return everything to STM no later than August 11.
WE SHOP!
• Make a donation in any amount.
• We’ll take it from there and use for any tags not adopted!
These retailers’ gift cards have been chosen because a
portion of the card’s purchase price is returned to the St.
Thomas More Social Ministry.

PARISH PICNIC
SEPTEMBER 26, 2010
Mark September 26th on your calendar for the Parish Picnic
at Mission Hills Park! The picnic has traditionally been a
parish wide effort with many of the ministries/organizations
helping along with other parishioners. If you want to help

DONATIONS NEEDED FOR PARISH PICNIC & RAFFLE
The Parish Picnic Committee is seeking donations for the
following items as part of the Parish Picnic (September 26).
• Large raffle prizes (value >$100)
• Rental trucks (about 20 ft) for hauling supplies (one
refrigerated and one
regular)
• Large quantities of bottled water and/or soft drinks
• Other large quantities (for approximately 1000 people)
• Rental table (need about 50-8ft long)

Friday of each month immediately following our regular 8:30
AM Mass and lasting until 12:00 noon in the Chapel.

The Divine Mercy Cenacle is a continuing prayer group that
meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30
p.m. in the Community Center.
