Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation together constitute the sacraments of Christian initiation. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that, “Preparation for Confirmation should aim at leading the Christian toward more intimate union with Christ and a more lively familiarity with the Holy Spirit – his actions, his gifts, and his bidding – in order to be more capable of assuming the apostolic responsibilities of Christian life.” Adults who are baptized in the Catholic faith and who have received first communion but were not confirmed are invited to complete their initiation sacraments through our Adult Confirmation process. Classes begin in February. You must register before January 31st. The Sacrament of Confirmation is dependent upon the Bishop's schedule, but normally takes place shortly after Easter.
ADULT CONFIRMATION ∗ Do you want to make your confirmation? ∗ Are you at least 18 years of age? ∗ Have you been baptized? ∗ Have you received your first communion? Classes begin in February for adults (completed high school & at least 18 years old) who were baptized and received their first communion but, for whatever reason, were never confirmed. You must register and be interviewed before January 31st. If you are interested, please call the Adult Faith Formation office at 361-8840.
