BIBLE STUDY

The purpose of Bible Study is not to gain ready-made answers or to put a lid on truth. It is, rather, to gain deeper understanding of the mysteries of God. Such understanding always leads to more questions to ponder.

Bible Study is a regular part of our weekly Adult Faith Formation program at St. Thomas More. Through prayer, small group sharing, lecture and home study we work our way through books of both the Hebrew (Old Testament) and Christian (New Testament) scripture.

Bible Study affords us an opportunity to accept the challenge of St Paul in his letter to the Romans 12:2 to be "transformed by the renewal of your mind." Participants can attend sessions either in the morning or in the evening. Limited childcare is available for the morning sessions if reserved in advance.

Exploring the Spirituality of the Gospels
A Little Rock Scripture Study

Sponsored by the St Thomas More Office of Adult Faith Formation

Our journey of exploration through the four gospels witnesses to the person and vision of Jesus and seeks to discover the important themes, values, and ideas
that have become foundational for spiritual traditions over the course of the centuries and that continue to speak to our present world. This book is a study in biblical spirituality. The author invites us to explore the roots of spirituality in the gospels - the
foundational documents of Christianity.
