Ministry
The St. Thomas More
Catholic Community Music Ministry is a spirit filled ministry which
offers a place for anyone who enjoys singing or playing an
instrument. This wide spread ministry is compiled of 6 major groups
ranging from the ages of 8 years old and up.
If you feel you would like to give your gift of music to
God's community I am sure one of these groups would suit your needs.
Our Adult Choir
consists of adults from the ages of 18 years and up.
We rehearse every Thursday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 and we
participate in the 10:00 or 12:00 Sunday liturgies.
Our Teen Band
consists of teenagers anywhere from the ages of 13 - 19.
This group is a contemporary style band who demonstrates a
lot of the same music we hear each week at our LIFE TEEN Mass. We rehearse every week on Wednesday's from 5:30 - 6:30 and
participates in the 10:00 Liturgy once a month.
Our Children's Choir
consists of children from the ages of 8 - 12 years old.
This group participates in the 10:00 Liturgy once a month as
well as rehearsal every Thursday from 5:15 - 6:30 PM.
This year we will be adding some sign language to special
songs that we will be singing throughout the year.
The LIFE TEEN Band is
a contemporary band who participates in the LIFE TEEN Mass every
week as well as rehearses for an hour and a half before liturgy and
sometimes during the week for an hour and a half also.
This group is an audition only group.
Our Small Ensemble
consists of adults from the ages of 18 and up who participate and
show leadership qualities in our Adult Choir.
This group sings at the 8:00, 10:00 and 12:00 Sunday
liturgies twice a month. There
is no required rehearsal period for this group however it is by
audition only.
Our Resurrection
Choir is the newest formed group for our music ministry here at St.
Thomas More. This group
is another branch of our Adult Choir and participates at all funeral
liturgies. This group
does not have a required rehearsal and is based on the availability
of the individual. We
are currently looking to enhance our ministry with any instruments
and vocalists. If you
