Welcome to Religious Education

The Catechist, priest and members of St. Thomas More Catholic Community, guided by the word and example of Jesus and basic teachings of “The General Catechetical Directory,” partner to evangelize and catechize our children into full participation in the mission of their Baptism in Christ.

The Religious Education Program has several options of programs to choose from for Kindergarten through Confirmation.

Option 1: Classes held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
(choose one day) beginning September 18, 2006 and ending
April 26, 2007.

Option 2: Early morning classes held on Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. beginning September 21, 2006 and ending April 26, 2007.

Option 3: Home Catechesis Parents and students attend monthly at the Community Center on the first Thursday of the month from 7 to 8 p.m., beginning in September. Children attend a grade level class and work on the material that was presented by their parent at home. Parents attend a parent session and receive catechesis on the next chapters they will be discussing with their children (this is a very
important part of the program.) This program begins on September 7, 2006 and ends May 1, 2007.

Parents of students who are unbaptized must make an appointment with Juliann Dwyer.
